It’s time to cut the faces!
Boy, it couldn’t have come any sooner! Jake’s been counting down until it’s time to cut the pumpkin faces. We let the kids paint their pumpkin faces when we got our pumpkins, so many days ago, but they couldn’t carve them until almost Halloween, since it’s been so warm.
As with most jobs, the kids get really excited to help … until it gets hard or boring. Then it becomes Dad’s job.
Jake went right to where we keep the rubber gloves – he wasn’t messing around. Soon, the others took note and followed suit.
Jake insisted I carve the face he had painted. Both Liv and Gabe had other ideas. Gabe and I found something scary on Pinterest, and Liv designed her own “girlie” pumpkin face. I opted for silly and smiley.
