Who knew fun shaped pasta could be so … well … fun?

The good people of The Pasta Shoppe sent me a big sampler package of their wares to review.  Look at all the fun stuff!

pasta shoppe fun shapes sample package

There was a big package of Spinach Basil Garlic Angel Hair nests.  Each nest is 100 calories.  There was also a package of Divine Meringues; they literally melt in your mouth!  We received two different bags of “pasta with personality.”  These were Halloween Pasta, which is shaped like spiders in webs and ghosts; and Music Pasta, which are the shapes of eighth notes and quarter notes, with G-clefs thrown in for fun.  There was a bag of Vineyard Pasta from the Ready…Set…Salad! collection.   You add your favorite vegetables, a little oil and vinegar, the included seasoning packet, and you’re off.  The two I’ve had a chance to dig into are the Wintertime Chili and the Chicken Noodle.

The Chicken Noodle comes with a seasoning packet and, get this … chicken shaped noodles!  I couldn’t get over the fact that we were having Chicken Noodle Chicken Noodle Soup!  We were really surprised with how good it came out.  Beth (my wife) was fearful that it would taste like Ramen, but it was awesome!  Just look at the finished product: pasta shoppe chicken noodle soup

Olivia, my middle child, thought it was excellent!

Next we moved on to the Wintertime Chili.  Excellent!  Again, it came with a seasoning packet and some fun shaped noodles.  This time, snowflakes and snowmen.  I added some fresh ingredients (I followed the directions to the letter), and it came out great.  My kiddos, who aren’t usually chili fans, went back for seconds.  I had made a big dinner of hot dogs and french fries for them, but they sat mostly untouched as we demolished our pot of chili.  There are five of us, and we still had leftovers.  Plenty of food here.

Look at the snowflake noodles, and the rich, dark color.

The Pasta Shoppe, found online at pastashoppe.com, specializes in fun shaped pastas, soups, salads, and fundraising.  If you have your fundraiser with The Pasta Shoppe, you get at least 40% profit.  When I think of the endless bottle drives and bake sales, this just seems so much easier – much more money for the effort.  There are even collegiate pastas, for 60 major college teams.  Imagine watching the Clemson Tigers while eating a big bowl of pasta Tiger Paws.   You can run your fundraiser two ways:  with brochure sales plus online sales, or through online sales only.  NO footwork necessary.  Direct people online, where they use their credit cards to make their purchases, and YOU get the credit.

Program benefits include:

Free brochures, order forms, collection envelopes, posters and samples.

Personalized webpage for selling to out-of-town family and friends.

Online order entry.

Free shipping on your master order.

You’re wondering how to sign up?  Go to www.funpastafundraising.com and click on the green “Sign Up Now” button.

As an added temptation, I’ve been authorized to give away a $30 Pasta Goodie Box, plus a package of the collegiate pasta of your choice!

This giveaway is limited to US residents only.  Here’s how to enter:  stop by pastashoppe.com, look at what they have to offer, then come back to this post and leave a comment below as to what shape is your favorite.  On Sunday, Oct 7th, I will chose a random winner from amongst those who comment.   The winner will be notified by e-mail.  Enter below!

I just love the fiesta pasta, but there are so many great ones. At this time of year the Halloween pasta is a great one. Thank you.

I honestly don’t think I could pick just one favorite. I love all of the holiday themed pastas, especially the Christmas ones though.

Ryan love the Blog. Your humor and patience are inspiring. I like the into the woods pasta the best, but the possibilities are endless. I would go with Syracuse for college. Can a person just have a pasta party and not fund raise? Thanks for the blog keep writing,Janice.

I don’t see why not. When I was approached about the review, the Pasta Shoppe really wanted me to highlight their fundraising oportunity. When you say “party,” are you looking to sell to make a profit, or are you goimg to buy lots of pasta and invite me to dinner?

My favorite is the Lone Star pasta salad. But, living in Nebraska, it is hard to resist the Husker variety.

I love all of them but i must say that i love the birthday one the best. It would make a kids birthday extra special i think being able to have a special dinner just for them. Keep writing those blogs. I love reading them and watching how your family grows together. I see the many struggles you all go threw as a family but i also see how much closer you guys are because of your situation. I see the love you have and how hard you guys teach jacob but i also see the love he has for you all and how much he teaches you all everyday as well.

I look forward to reading your posts you are truly a wordsmith. Being part of the PTO at my granddaughters school I would be interested in a packet from the company if they serve central NH. We switch off who we use for fundraisers to get a variety to offer and this pasta looks good. I like the music pasta it does entice some of our picky eaters if the food looks fun and my Gabby loves music.
